God’s Creative Stew

I am a Catholic.  I would have never become Catholic if it were not for my being raised as a Baptist.  The Bible has always been my textbook to life as Baptists strive to be Bible based and being Bible Based ultimately led me to The Catholic Church.  The more I studied Scripture the more Catholic I became.

God has given me life abundance in that to this day I can raise my hands in Praise to The Lord in a “megachurch” and still know that the Source and Summit is found at The Table in The Eucharist as I take the Blood, Body, Soul and Divinity in the True Presence at The Table in “The Lord’s Supper.”

I can jump up and down to drums and wailing guitars and sing-scream at the top of my lungs, “My Jesus, My Savior, Lord there is None Like You!” and still kneel in reverence in the silence of The Sacrifice of The Mass.  I can sing “down-home” Southern Gospel in the same breath as Brahms Requiem and still be at home knowing that there is none righteous, none, without Jesus, and that we are all on the same journey, together as a diverse congregation of God’s creation.

I know my calling is to be an artist, (writer and musician/singer) and to continue to live and to love as Christ loves.  My calling is to mix it all up and to go in peace to love and serve the Lord.

Let’s GO!
