You never left.  You left your light.  Illuminating flesh and blood.  The light in me.  Even when my plight plunges me into the deepest of black, your blood lights my path as I stumble back to the table.

Why couldn’t I leave?  

I matched your promise to me and even though I have a choice, I choose The Light’s First Love.

Therefore I cleave to the cleft in the rock, as The Rock is my sure foundation.  I wobble.  I sink.  My eyes are on the brink of your wink.
